Rainy day blues

The neon lights blaze
a radio blares
Rain beats a staccato
on the hood of a car
I pause at the window
hunched against the sleet
The warm aroma of tea
the harshness of light
The jukebox plays
a kettle sings
The heart remembers
those little things
